The project
This year, Christmas in Bari returns in a new shape, bringing the charm of traditions and the magic of stories. The village “Christmas in Wonderland: The True Story of Christmas” is an enchanted place that celebrates the most authentic Christmas, reinterpreting the magic with elements that evoke the spirit of past centuries.
The city will gift its residents and tourists a true Christmas dream come true: Bari’s city center will transform into a fairy-tale village where Christmas symbols come to life. From the decorated wooden huts to the snowy villages, every corner of the village o ers visitors a full immersion in traditions. The square will be illuminated with warm lights, while the air will be lled with the scent of Christmas sweets and spices.
The villagers guide visitors on a journey through traditions, stories, and Christmas magic with traditional costumes and welcoming smiles. Santa’s grotto will be the beating heart of the setting, a warm and welcoming refuge where children can meet Santa until December 25th.
Events and shows
“Christmas in Wonderland: The True Story of Christmas” will light up and welcome both children and their parents with a unique program of events, shows, playful animations, and performers from December 6th to January 6th.
The village opening hours will be as required by the regulations: Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, on December 24th and 31st from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on December 25th and 26th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The inaugural event will take place on December 7th, with the arrival of Santa Claus.
During weekends and special days, the village will transform into an open-air theater, featuring unique performances such as the musicals “Christmas Carol” and “Alice in Wonderland.” Additionally, the “Christmas Pop Show” will engage the audience in a concert of Christmas hits, where everyone can sing and dance along. The village sta will include artists and guests who will rotate daily.
GAMES AND ENTERTAINMENT
A team of specialized entertainers for children and young people will entertain visitors at the village with games and moments of animation, including:
- Educational and playful workshops
- Group games
- Santa Dance: Christmas dances and more for the little ones.
SPECIAL DAY
On holidays and weekends, the village will be enriched with unique shows and moments of entertainment: from circus performances with stilt walkers and glowing butterflies, to the Human Carillons, where ballerinas in costume will dance on pointe, accompanied by toy soldiers, creating an enchanting atmosphere for both adults and children.
BARI CALLED TO THE ARTS
A special space is dedicated to promoting local activities. Associations, theater and dance schools, as well as sports activities from Bari, will have the opportunity to perform in the village, showcasing their talents and performances on stage. This Christmas will become a celebration of the community and the arts.

Christmas Eve (December 24th) and New Year’s Eve (December 31st): 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Christmas Day (December 25th) and St. Stephen’s Day (December 26th): 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
